Hawaii Hotels

The most popular lodging choice for Hawaii vacationers is the hotel. Hotels are the least expensive option and pretty easy to get. You can get hotels right on beautiful sandy beaches... so close that you can hear the ocean while falling asleep and waking up.

Or, if you want to save a little bit of money, you can get a hotel farther inland. You don't have the luxury of hearing the ocean, but usually, these hotels are still close enough that you can run down in the morning and be at the beach in a matter of minutes. And, these hotels are usually located in incredible Hawaii gardens.

But, no matter where you get your hotel, you can rest assured that you will be surrounded by incredible beauty... remember that the worst hotel in Hawaii beats the best hotel almost anywhere else in the world!

There many different hotel chains to choose from in Hawaii. They are all very nice and know how to treat their guests. One of the things you will want to be sure that your hotel has, especially if it is your first trip to Hawaii, is an activity desk.

On our very first trip to Hawaii, we stayed at the Sheraton in Kauai, on Poipu Beach (it is actually a resort). It had a activity desk where somebody helped us plan what we wanted to do each day and gave us advice... it helped a lot, especially since we didn't know the island very well or what there was to do.

A hotel is great for your first visit. It is the least expensive option (well, usually), and as a first-time Hawaii vacationer, you won't be spending much time there anyway... most of your time will be spent on the beaches, taking tours, exploring, and having fun on the rest of the Island.

While your checking out the Island, you can always be on the lookout for certain areas you will want to stay on your next Hawaii vacation... or maybe you'll go right back to the same Hawaii hotel you stayed the first time!
